The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that the exit ramp to westbound Mt. Royal Avenue from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway will temporarily close for construction work. 

Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 08, 2018, the exit ramp from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway to westbound Mt. Royal Avenue will be closed to through traffic with detours in effect.  This ramp is expected to reopen to traffic at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018. 

During the closure, motorists trying to access westbound Mt. Royal Avenue from the southbound Jones Falls Expressway will be detoured onto southbound St. Paul Street, westbound on Preston Street, northbound on Charles Street to Mt. Royal Avenue.

Variable message signs will be posted in the area to alert citizens of the closure.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and should allow additional travel time along the detour route.
