Road Closures for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Annual Gala Celebration

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures that will be in effect for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s annual Gala Celebration which will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

In preparation for the event, the following road closures and special traffic patterns will be implemented from 8:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2024, with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Meyerhoff Driveway between Preston Street and Park Avenue
  • Park Avenue between Howard Street and Biddle Street
  • A temporary 2-way traffic pattern will be installed along Park Avenue from Cathedral Street to the Symphony Center Parking Garage during this time.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.  Motorists are also encouraged to download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.
