Weekend Road Closures for Friday, June 14th Through Sunday, June 16, 2024

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures and traffic modifications for the following activities this weekend.  Please download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.  All activities are weather permitting and BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates.

 

Traffic Modifications for Baltimore Orioles Home Games

This weekend, temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented for the Baltimore Orioles home games against the Philadelphia Phillies at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. 

Motorists should be advised that all parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations will be strictly enforced in the vicinity of the stadium.  Patrons who do not have a parking permit for any of the stadium lots are strongly encouraged to use public transportation.  Increased traffic delays should be expected due to the Key Bridge closure.  With a variety of transit options including the Metro Subway, Light Rail, Local Bus, and the Charm City Circulator, fans can easily use mass transit from numerous locations in and around Baltimore. 

Baseball fans that drive to the game should utilize commercial parking facilities north of the stadium and avoid parking in area neighborhoods.  Transportation Enforcement Officers will enforce posted parking restrictions and residential permit parking regulations in the vicinity of the stadium.  Vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and towed.  Motorists with questions concerning the location of their vehicles should call 311. 

In preparation for the games, the following streets will be closed on Friday, June 14, 2024, starting at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 15th starting at 1:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 16th starting at 10:30 a.m. (times approximate) with detours in effect: 

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, June 14th, Saturday, June 15th and Sunday, June 16, 2024, in the vicinity of the stadium: 

  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets
  • East side of Greene Street from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • North side of Pratt Street from Greene Street to Paca Street

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks. 

 

Traffic Modifications for the Pride of Mt. Vernon

This Friday, traffic modifications will be implemented for Pride of Mt. Vernon which will be held along Read Street in Mt. Vernon.

In preparation for the event, the following road closure will be implemented on Friday, June 14, 2024, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.:

  • Read Street between Howard Street and Park Avenue

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Baltimore Pride Block Party and Parade

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be implemented for Baltimore Pride Block Party and Parade which will be held in Wyman Park from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m.

Parade participants will begin staging at approximately 11:00 a.m. along Charles Street between University Parkway and 33rd Street, and along Art Museum Drive between Wyman Park Drive and N. Charles Street.  The parade will be held from approximately 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and participants will travel southbound on N. Charles Street to disband at the intersection of 23rd Street.

In preparation for the block party and parade, the following road closures will be implemented on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from approximately 4:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • N. Charles Street from North Avenue to 23rd Street
  • 20th Street from Lovegrove to Morton Streets 
  • 21st Street from Lovegrove to Morton Streets 
  • 22nd Street from Lovegrove to Morton Streets 
  • 23rd Street from Lovegrove to Morton Streets 
  • N. Charles Street from 33rd Street to University Parkway (closed 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for parade)
  • Art Museum Drive from Wyman Park Drive to N. Charles Street (closed 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for parade)

Motorists should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the parade for the safety of participants.  Vehicles at all major signalized intersections along the parade route should be allowed to cross the parade during breaks in the procession.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays.  

Charm City Circulator Service Alert:  On Saturday, June 15, 2024, the Charm City Circulator will be operating its regular service hours with detours and stop closures in effect during this event.  Patrons should visit or download the Passio Go! app for detour information.

 

Traffic Modifications for the RUFFHouse Juneteenth Jubilee

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the RUFFHouse Juneteenth Jubilee.

In preparation for the event, the following road closures will be implemented on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Penhurst Avenue from Garrison Boulevard and Granada Avenue
  • Belvieu Avenue from Belvedere Avenue and Garrison Boulevard

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Juneteenth Celebration

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Juneteenth Celebration which will be held in Druid Hill.

In preparation for the event, the following road closure will be implemented on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Druid Hill Avenue from Wilson Street and McMechen Street

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Pride 5K and Pride in the Park Event

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be implemented for the Baltimore Pride 5K and Pride in the Park event.  The 5K race will be held in Druid Hill Park from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and Pride in the Park will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In preparation for the events, the following road closure will be implemented on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Swann Drive from Druid Park Lake Drive to Beechwood Drive

During the 5K race, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants wherever possible along the race route and temporary traffic stops may be implemented for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for Weekend Activities

This weekend, temporary lane and ramp closures will be in effect for various activities.

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, the following lane and ramp closures will be implemented (times approximate):

  • Hilton Parkway northbound and southbound left lane closures between North Avenue and Hilton Street 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (cleaning activities)
  • Cold Spring Lane eastbound ramp from the northbound Jones Falls Expressway/I-83 closure 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (street lighting repairs) 

On Sunday, June 16, 2024, the following lane closures will be implemented (times approximate):

  • Jones Falls Expressway/I-83 northbound and southbound left lane closures between Fayette Street and the city/county line 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (cleaning activities)

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, June 16, 2024, the following street and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from E. Pleasant Street to E. Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure between Front Street and Fallsway

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
