Weekend Road Closures for Friday, August 4th through Sunday, August 6th, 2023

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation (BCDOT) would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following activities this weekend.  Please download the Waze.com app for live detour navigation.  All activities are weather permitting and BCDOT is not responsible for providing status updates.

Traffic Modifications for Baltimore Orioles Home Games This Weekend

This weekend, temporary traffic modifications will be in effect for Baltimore Orioles home games being held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

In preparation for Friday's game, the following streets will be closed on Friday, August 4, 2023 starting at approximately 4:00 p.m.:

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, August 4, 2023 beginning at 4:00 p.m.:

  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets
  • East side of Greene Street, from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • North side of Pratt Street, from Greene Street to Paca Street

The road closures and parking restrictions listed above will also be implemented on Saturday, August 5th at approximately 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 6th at approximately 10:00 a.m. 

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in the vicinity of the stadium should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks. 

 

Traffic Modifications for Roadway Repairs, Right of Way Cleaning and Special Events

The following road and lane closures will be implemented on Saturday, August 5, 2023 (times are approximate):

  • Northbound Jones Falls Expressway / I-83 right lane closures from Fayette Street to the city/county line 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (roadway repairs and right of way cleaning)
  • Southbound Jones Falls Expressway / I-83 double left lane closures from Falls Road to Maryland Avenue 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (roadway repairs and right of way cleaning)
  • Westbound Franklin - Mulberry Expressway closure from Greene Street to Payson Street 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (roadway repairs, tree trimming and right of way cleaning)
  • Pratt Street left lane closure from Calvert Street to South Street 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. (special event)

The following road closure will be implemented on Sunday, August 6, 2023 (times are approximate):

  • Longwood Street closed between Bloomingdale Road and Brighton Street 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (special event)

Motorists traveling in these vicinities should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Ruth M. Kirk Family Fun Festival & Parade

This weekend, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the Ruth M. Kirk Family Fun Festival & Parade. The event will be held on Saturday, August 5th and Sunday, August 6th from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day.

In preparation for the festival, the following road closures will be implemented starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 and continuing through 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023 with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • W. Lexington Street from N. Calhoun Street to N. Carey Street
  • N. Calhoun Street from W. Fayette Street to W. Lexington Street
  • N. Carey Street from W. Fayette Street to W. Lexington Street

In preparation for the parade, the following road closure will be implemented on Saturday, August 5th from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect: 

  • W. Lexington Street from N. Fulton Avenue to N. Carey Street

Motorists should pay close attention to the posted parking restrictions and avoid parking in prohibited areas. Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced during the event for everyone's safety.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

Traffic Modifications for the 18th Annual Reservoir Hill Resource Fair & Music Festival 

This Saturday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the 18th Annual Reservoir Hill Resource Fair & Music Festival. 

In preparation for the event, the following road closure will be implemented on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from approximately 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • Whitelock Street from Brookfield Avenue to Linden Avenue

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Casey Cares Foundation 5K Run/1-Mile Walk at the Maryland Zoo in Druid Hill Park

This Saturday, temporary traffic modifications will be implemented for the Casey Cares Foundation 5K Run/1-Mile Walk which will be held in Druid Hill Park from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

In preparation for the event on Saturday, August 5, 2023, a temporary lane closure will be implemented along East Drive between Red Road and Pool Service Drive from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, August 6, 2023 the following road and lane closures will be implemented from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Holliday Street closed from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Pleasant Street closed at Holliday Street
  • Hillen Street center lane closure at Fallsway

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
