Weekend Road Closures for July 23-25, 2021

Traffic Modifications for Baltimore Orioles Home Games

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that temporary road closures and parking restrictions will be implemented this weekend for the Baltimore Orioles home games against the Chicago White Sox which will be held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

In preparation for Friday evening’s game, the following streets will be closed on Friday, July 23, 2021 starting at approximately 4:00 p.m.:

  • Eutaw Street from Pratt to Camden Streets
  • Camden Street from Howard to Russell Streets
  • Lee Street from Ramp D to Russell Street
  • Hamburg Street from Russell to Leadenhall Streets
  • Washington Boulevard from Paca to Greene Streets
  • Left lane closure along northbound Russell Street from Lee to Pratt Streets

In addition, the following parking restrictions will be implemented on Friday, July 23, 2021 beginning at 4:00 p.m.:

  • East side of Greene Street from Lombard Street to Washington Boulevard
  • East side of Eutaw Street from Pratt to Lombard Streets
  • North side of Conway Street from Charles to Sharp Streets

The road closures and parking restrictions listed above will also be implemented for the Orioles home games on Saturday, July 24, 2021 starting at approximately 1:00 p.m. and on Sunday, July 25, 2021 starting at approximately 10:00 a.m.

Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with the movement of traffic in the downtown area.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians, especially when approaching designated crosswalks. 

 

Fells Point Road Closures to be Lifted This Weekend

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that weekend road closures in Fells Point will not be implemented.  Roadways in Fells Point will remain open for motorists throughout the weekend unless conditions warrant any closures in this area.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for possible traffic pattern changes.  Fells Point visitors and residents should continue to pay close attention to all posted parking restrictions and avoid parking in restricted areas.  Residential Permit Parking (RPP) will be strictly enforced throughout the weekend in Fells Point (RPP Area 16) and vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed

Fells Point Residential Permit Parking in Area 16 will be enforced along the following roadways:

• Aliceanna Street     • Broadway

• Fleet Street              • Shakespeare Street

• Ann Street               • Thames Street

• Lancaster Street     • Dallas Street

• Bethel Street           • Wolfe Street

• Register Street        • Durham Street

• Bond Street             • Fell Street

 

Traffic Modifications for the Festival of India

This weekend, traffic modifications will be in effect along Light Street for the Festival of India. 

Starting at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021, a parade will kick off from the intersection of Key Highway and Light Street.  Participants will proceed north along Light Street and end at McKeldin Square, where the festival will be held. 

In preparation for the event, the following traffic modifications will be implemented:

  • Friday, July 23, 2021 - left lane closure along southbound Light Street south of Pratt Street from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (event set-up)
  • Saturday, July 24, 2021:
  • Closure of westbound Key Highway between Battery Avenue and Light Street from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Closure of northbound Light Street between Montgomery and Pratt Streets from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Closure of eastbound Conway Street between Charles and Light Streets from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Left lane closure along southbound Light Street south of Pratt Street from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (event break-down)

During the procession, temporary traffic stops may be implemented for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity may experience delays and should consider using alternate routes.

 

Weekend Lane and Ramp Closures Along the Jones Falls Expressway

This weekend, temporary lane and ramp closures will be implemented along the Jones Falls Expressway for street lighting work and cleaning activities.    

On Saturday, July 24, 2021, a right lane closure will be implemented along the northbound Jones Falls Expressway between Falls Road and Cold Spring Lane from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weather permitting.  In addition, a right lane closure will be implemented along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway between the county line and Fayette Street during this time.

Then on Sunday, July 25, 2021 the following ramps will intermittently close along the southbound Jones Falls Expressway from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. including Maryland Avenue, St. Paul Street and Guilford Avenue with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Weekend Closures of Wolfe Street

This weekend, a portion of Wolfe Street will be closed for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25, 2021, Wolfe Street will be closed to through traffic between Madison and Monument Streets from approximately 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day, with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

S. Regester Street Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of S. Regester Street will be closed for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, July 24, 2021, S. Regester Street will be closed to through traffic between Gough and Bank Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes. 

 

S. Frederick Street Crane Operation

This Saturday, a portion of S. Frederick Street will be closed for a crane lift operation. 

On Saturday, July 24, 2021, S. Frederick Street will be closed to through traffic between Baltimore and Water Streets from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect, weather permitting. 

Motorists traveling in this area should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.   

 

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, July 25, 2021 the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

  • Hillen Street from Fallsway to Holliday Street
  • Holliday Street from Pleasant Street to Saratoga Street
  • Holliday Street at Pleasant Street off ramp left lane closure

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
