Cathedral Street Roadway Construction

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists that a portion of Cathedral Street will temporarily close for roadway construction. 

On or about August 11, 2018, Cathedral Street will be closed to through traffic between Mt. Royal Avenue and Preston Street.  This portion of Cathedral Street is expected to remain closed to traffic through September 7, 2018 weather permitting.  Access to local garages will remain open during the closure; however, motorists must follow the detour route around the block to enter area garages.

Citizens traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Cathedral Street Detour:

Cathedral Street traffic will be detoured east on Mt. Royal Avenue, south on Maryland Avenue, west on Preston Street back to Cathedral Street.
