Traffic Modifications for the Johns Hopkins 5K for United Way

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Johns Hopkins 5J for United Way which will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Patterson Park.

The race will start at the intersection of Wolfe and Eager Streets.  Participants will proceed southbound and turn left on Ashland Avenue, right onto Patterson Park Avenue, and left into Patterson Park at the Pagoda (across from the Lombard Street entrance).  The course continues counter clockwise around the upper loop of Paterson Park and will exit at the Pagoda.  Runners will turn right on Patterson Park Avenue, left on Ashland Avenue and then right on Wolfe Street to finish.

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for the participants along the race route where possible.  Baltimore City Police and Transportation Enforcement Officers will be stationed along the route to help facilitate the movement of traffic.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented along the route for the safety of the participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Milling and Paving Operations to Occur Along Echodale Avenue This Saturday

This Saturday, a portion of Echodale Avenue will be closed to through traffic for milling and paving operations.

On Saturday, April 28, 2018, Echodale Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Perring Parkway and Herring Run Drive from 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. weather permitting, with detours in effect.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity are encouraged to be on the watch for changing traffic patterns and use alternate routes to avoid delays.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Brigance Brigade Foundation Championship 5.7K and 1.57 Mile Fun Run

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Brigance Brigade Foundation Championship 5.7K and 1.57 Mile Fun Run.  The event will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 beginning at 9:00 a.m.  

*The 5.7k starts at 9:00 a.m. near Canton Waterfront Park and the 1.57 Mile Fun Run begins at 9:05 a.m.  Participants will proceed north on Ellwood Avenue, left onto Eastern Avenue, and right into Patterson Park to loop counter clockwise around the park (shorter route inside the park for the Fun Run).  Runners will exit left back onto Eastern Ave, then continue right onto S. Ellwood Avenue and across Boston Street to finish in Canton Waterfront Park.
