Traffic Modifications for the Canton Lamp Post Lighting Ceremony

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Canton Lamp Post Lighting Ceremony.  The event will be held on Friday, December 08, 2017. 

In preparation for the event, O’Donnell Street will be closed to through traffic between Linwood Avenue and Potomac Street (in both directions) on Friday, December 08, 2017 from 5:45 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians attending the ceremony and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Traffic Modifications for the Jingle Bell Run

On Saturday, Saturday, December 09, 2017 temporary lane closures will be in effect for the Jingle Bell Run/Walk.  The event will start and finish at the Du Burns Arena in Canton and kicks off at 9:00 a.m.

Participants will begin the run/walk on Boston Street at East Avenue, then proceed west on Boston Street, right on Linwood Avenue to cross over Eastern Avenue and enter Patterson Park.  The course will continue through Patterson Park to exit at Eastern Avenue, then proceeds south on Linwood Avenue, left on Boston Street, and left on East Avenue to the finish line in the Du Burns Arena parking lot.

In preparation for the event, single lane closures will be in effect along the course route wherever possible.  Citizens should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the run for the safety of participants. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

Centre Street Crane Operation

This weekend, a portion of Centre Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, December 09, 2017 Centre Street will be closed to through traffic between Cathedral and Charles Streets starting at 2:00 a.m. with detours in effect.  This portion of Centre Street will remained closed until 4:00 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity are encouraged to watch for changing traffic patterns and use alternate routes.

Saratoga Street Crane Operation

This weekend, a portion of Saratoga Street will temporarily close for a crane lift operation.

On Saturday, December 09, 2017 Saratoga Street will be closed to through traffic between Charles and St. Paul Streets starting at 12:00 a.m. with detours in effect.  This portion of Saratoga Street will remained closed until 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2017.

Motorists traveling in this vicinity are encouraged to watch for changing traffic patterns and use alternate routes.

Lane Closures Along I-295

On Saturday, temporary lane closures will be in effect along I-295 close for roadway maintenance work.

On Saturday, December 09, 2017 temporary lane closures will be implemented along northbound and southbound I-295 between Bush Street and the county line from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
