Traffic Modifications for the Sole of the City 10K Run

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Sole of the City 10K Run.  The event will be held this Saturday, April 08, 2017 starting at 9:00 a.m.

The 10K course will begin and end along Fort Avenue at McHenry Row.  Participants will proceed east on Fort Avenue, right on Webster Street, left on Key Highway and right on Light Street.  The race continues right on Pratt Street, right on S. Wolfe Street, right on Aliceanna Street, then left on S. Exeter Street.  The course proceeds right on Lancaster Street, right on President Street, around the traffic circle to Aliceanna Street and onto the harbor promenade.  Participants will follow the promenade around to the Science Center, then turn left onto Key Highway, right onto Covington Street, left on Fort Avenue back to Whetstone Way to finish.

During the event, southbound Wolfe Street will be closed to through traffic between Fleet and Lancaster Streets from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  In addition, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Citizens should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented along the race route for the safety of participants. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and changing traffic patterns, and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
