Traffic Modifications for the Flower Mart in Mount Vernon
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications that will be in effect for Flower Mart 2018. The event will take place on Friday, May 04 and Saturday, May 05, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each day in the heart of Mount Vernon.
In preparation for the event, the following streets will be closed to through traffic beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 03, 2018 until 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 06, 2018:
- Charles Street from Centre to Read Streets
- Madison Street from St. Paul to Cathedral Streets
- Vernon Place from St. Paul to Cathedral to Streets
In addition, parking will be restricted in these areas from 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 03, 2018 until 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 06, 2018. Parking restrictions will be strictly enforced during this event for the safety of everyone.
Variable message signs will be placed in the area to alert motorists of the closures. Transportation Enforcement Officers (TEO’s) will be posted at critical locations to help facilitate the movement of traffic. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
