Weekend Road Closures for Saturday, December 10th through Sunday, December 11th, 2022

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary traffic modifications and road closures for the following events this weekend. 

Traffic Modifications and Closure for the I-95 Ramp Rehab 

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary closure and detour of the ramp from southbound I-395 to southbound I-95.

On Friday, December 9th, 2022, the following ramp will be temporarily closed to through traffic from approximately 10:00 p.m. until Monday, December 12th at 5:00 a.m.:

• The detour will direct motorists to northbound I-95, exit onto McComas Street, then use the McComas Street on-ramp to southbound I-95.

Lane Closure Along MD 295

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary lane closure along MD 295 for right of way cleaning.

On Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the following lanes will be closed to through traffic:

• Right lane closure along northbound and southbound MD 295 from Hamburg Street to the Baltimore City/Baltimore County Line.

Lane Closures Along I-83 for Pothole Repair

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary right lane closure along I-83.

On Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. the following lane will be closed to through traffic:

• Right lane closure along southbound I-83 from Coldspring Lane to 28th Street / Falls Road.

Traffic Modifications for Crane Operations

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures in effect for crane operations.

On Saturday, December 10th, 2022, the following streets will be closed:

• Frederick Street closed between Water Avenue and Baltimore Street 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• 33^rd Street closed between Charles Street and St. Paul Street 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Traffic Modifications for Street Lighting Repairs and Roadway Restorations

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary lane closures in effect for street lighting repairs and roadway restorations.  

On Saturday, December 10th, 2022, the following lanes will be closed:

• Northbound I-83 right lane closure from North Avenue to the county line for street lighting repair 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Southbound I-83 right lane closure from Coldspring Lane to Falls Road for roadway restoration 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Traffic Modifications for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar

This Sunday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar, which is held under the Jones Falls Expressway along Saratoga Street between Holliday and Gay Streets.

On Sunday, December 11th, 2022, the following streets will be closed to through traffic from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with detours in effect:

• Hillen Street will be closed at Fallsway
• Pleasant Street will be closed at Holliday Street
• Holliday Street will be closed at Saratoga Street

Traffic Modifications for Ravens Game Watch Party

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the temporary road closures, detours, parking restrictions, and Charm City Circulator stop closures for Ravens Game Watch Party.

On Sunday, December 11th, 2022, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with parking restrictions in effect:

Roadway closures:

• North Charles Street from Mt. Royal Avenue to Lafayette Avenue
• Lanvale Street will be closed from Maryland Avenue to Lovegrove Street

Parking restrictions:

• East side of North Charles Street from Mt. Royal Avenue to West Oliver Street
• West Side of North Charles Street from I-83 on-ramp to west Lanvale Street
• Both Sides of West Lanvale Street from Maryland Avenue to Lovegrove Street

Detour:

• From the right lane of northbound Charles Street northbound North Charles Street
• Make a right turn onto Mt. Royal Avenue continue on Mt. Royal Avenue towards North Calvert Street
• Make a left turn onto North Calvert Street heading northbound towards East North Avenue
• Make a left turn onto East North Avenue continue westbound on North Avenue
• Turn right onto North Charles Street to end detour

To access I-83 use the following detour: 

• From the left lane, heading northbound on North Charles Street
• Make a left onto Mt. Royal Avenue
• Continue on Mt. Royal Avenue towards West North Avenue
• Make a right turn onto West North Avenue heading eastbound towards North Charles Street
• Make a left turn onto North Charles Street to end detour

To access Penn Station, use the following detour:

• Heading northbound on Charles Street
• Make a left onto Mt. Royal Avenue
• Continue on Mt. Royal Avenue towards West North Avenue
• Make a right turn onto West North Avenue heading eastbound toward St. Paul Street
• Make a right turn onto St. Paul Street heading southbound towards Amtrak Station
• All Amtrak traffic will enter and exit from St. Paul Street

Charm City Circulator Purple Route Detour and Stop Closures:

The service will be rerouted northbound on Charles Street from the intersection of Mt. Royal Avenue to Lafayette Avenue. The detour will be in place from the beginning of service until end of service, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

• From North Charles Street turn right onto Mount Royal Avenue
• Turn left onto North Calvert Street
• Turn left onto East North Avenue
• Turn right to return to North Charles Street

Stop Closures:

310 - Penn Station (Northbound)

311 - North Avenue Station

Alternative Stops:

309 - Biddle Street (Northbound)

312 - 22^nd Street (Northbound)
