Traffic Modifications for the Best of Maryland Arts Education Festival

The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications in effect for the Best of Maryland Arts Education Festival which will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  in Mount Vernon.

In preparation for the event, the following roadways will be closed to through traffic on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect:

  • West leg of N. Charles Street from Centre to Monument Streets
  • South leg of Monument Street opposite the Washington Monument

During the event, the east leg of N. Charles Street will remain open to through traffic.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this time.

Traffic Modifications for the Cardinal Cup 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Cardinal Cup 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk which will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  

The event will begin and end at the School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen on Charles Street.  Participants will proceed south on Charles Street, west on Wyndhurst Avenue, north on Roland Avenue and east on Northern Parkway.  Runners will then turn right on Charles Street to finish the race back at the School of the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen. 

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route wherever possible.  Commuters should be aware that temporary traffic stops may be implemented in this area for the safety of participants

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Port to Fort 6K

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Port to Fort 6K which will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  

The event will begin at the intersection of Fort Avenue and Whetstone Way.  Participants will proceed west on Fort Avenue, left on Belt Street, left on Randall Street, left on Webster Street and right back onto Fort Avenue.  Runners will follow Fort Avenue into Fort McHenry, complete a lap inside the fort and will exit Fort McHenry heading westbound on Fort Avenue.  Participants will turn left on Whetstone Way to finish.

Traffic Modifications for the Red Hot Run 5K

This Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Red Hot Run 5K which will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  

The event will begin and end on the campus of the Roland Park Country School located on Roland Avenue.   Participants will leave the campus and turn right on Roland Avenue, right on Ridgewood Road, right on Kenwood Road, left on Goodwood Gardens Road, then left on Oakdale Road.  The course proceeds right on Ridgewood Road, then left back onto Goodwood Gardens Road, then left to Club Road, and left on Edgevale Road.  Participants will merge right on Beechdale Road, left onto Club Road, right on Deepdene Road, then left back onto Roland Avenue to finish at the school campus. 

During the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants along the race route.  Temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the race for the safety of participants.  Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

 

Traffic Modifications for the Light the Night Canton

On Saturday, traffic modifications will be in effect for the Light the Night Canton event which will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  along O’Donnell Street.

In preparation for the event, both sides of O’Donnell Street between Potomac Street and Linwood Avenue will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with detours and parking restrictions in effect. 

Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes during this time.
